Christopher Porter – Sustainability Consultant and Circular Economy Lead, SLR Consulting Ltd

Chris (PhD) has a diverse background in, and serious passion for, sustainability. During his academic career he studied material degradation and expected lifetime assessments. His industrial experience focussed on R&D, managing projects for the implementation of new and novel technologies, including battery and black mass recycling, oil recovery and a variety of waste treatment processes. Since moving into consultancy, Chris has widened his portfolio across the circular economy in general and now leads the team, working on the design of battery recycling facilities, the classification and handling of hazardous wastes, and the development of waste reduction and circular economy strategies.
